These character jigsaw cards also form part of the games pack (0-19-916450-9), which consists of a pack containing non-disposable, flexible resources for playing over 100 language games at Stages 1-3, plus instructions on how to extend the bank of games using existing Oxford Reading Tree materials. The aim of the pack is to teach basic games skills and to enable children to play a range of games at different levels. This will reduce the amount of time teachers have to spend teaching children how to play the games. The pack contains the following: a large board on which many different games can be played with a combination of other resources (e.g. Lotto and other track games); six small boards for playing other games; a pack of character cards to use with the boards or separately (for sorting games, happy families etc.); key word tiles for Stages 1-3 to use with lotto boards or separately (for Pelmanism etc.) and character jigsaws of Biff, Chip, Kipper, and Floppy, for matching/sorting games, collecting a character and so on.
