Publisher's Synopsis

"Overwatch" is the story of Marine Scout Sniper Scott Taggart, a man that has been in the Marine Corps since he was eighteen and is driven by duty, honor, country and extreme loyalty. When young CIA agent Kate Dotson, who secretly works for British Intelligence, presents them with an opportunity that could alter the outcome of the Vietnam War, he and his spotter Mickey Young jump at the chance. Along with Seal Team 2 Scott, Mickey and Kate make their way to a strategic stronghold inside the Cambodian border. Little do they know that a year prior a series of events were set in motion that could lead to not only their deaths, but could also result in the loss of the war. A General with the North Vietnamese Army, Jian Kao-Li, is driven by rage and vengeance as he seeks retribution against the man that killed his brother and he will stop at nothing to right the wrong done to his family even if it costs his country everything. All the while CIA Director Tom Gooding, a man who is dead set on ending the war, has been working in conjunction with Jian to obtain a state secret that he claims to have. He is threatened by Jian that if he does not deliver what he asks for in exchange for the intelligence his family will be in grave danger. Jian is afforded a completely random opportunity which turns the mission upside down and leads to British Intelligence Station Chief Robert Ward directly intervening with a squad of SAS Paratroopers that arrive exactly when they're needed most.
