This work discusses some of the latest advances in both the basic science and clinical areas of medical research in order to help women who have fertility problems. Chapters explain the current knowledge on each problem, and how various international groups are overcoming these difficulties.;Reiner de Graaf symposia are held approximately every three years, and are usually on a topic related in some way to the ovary. The topic of special interest to this meeting was hormone (endocrine) problems of the ovary, particularly relating failure of the ovary leading to early menopause (underfunctioning), polycystic ovary syndrome (incorrectly functioning) and ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (overfunctioning).
