The fragile balance of earth has been compromised. Rogue Usuari begin killing off other elemental users, decimating the Order's halls around the world, all in the hopes of releasing the Powers from encapsulation to end the rule of the Erregen. With the help of his Guerrers, the five most powerful elemental users of all the Usuari, the Erregen maintains the harmony between life and death, destruction and rebirth. If the Powers are released, chaos will consume mankind. Just before the London hall is wiped out, the Spirit Guerrer admits the Erregen has come up missing and the next must be found.
