Optimal Math's IAAT Handbook Practice Tests and Lessons for The Iowa Algebra Aptitude Test

Over 90 students enrolled in the IAAT prep course offered in Fairfax County, Virginia and Calvert County, Maryland. Designed to help students prepare for the IAAT exam, this course utilized Optimal Math's IAAT Handbook to reinforce skills in core concepts covered by the IAAT such as: pre-algebra skills and concepts, interpreting information from graphs and text, finding formulas for numeric relationships, and using algebraic symbols. Students who completed the course and used the Handbook scored in the 90th percentile, with 6 students earning a perfect score on the IAAT exam.

Now approved for use in test prep courses in Maryland and Virginia.

This workbook encompasses a range of problems, specifically 600 unique ones, spread across 10 practice tests. It is essential to underscore that these aren't just any problems; they have been methodically designed to challenge and stretch your child's mathematical muscles. These problems are written engagingly with real world applications. Gone are the days of 40 watermelons and 60 bananas; instead, your child will be interpreting accurate stock market charts and use cases of companies like SpaceX.

The rigor and complexity of the problems in this workbook are intentional. Optimal Math ensures that students experience a level of challenge that surpasses the actual IAAT.
