Rather than instruct the user to fill in the lines as other colouring books do, the text suggests more creative ways to play with colour on the images. It, also, provides prompts for writing on the lined-journal side of each page spread. The user, also, has the choice to separate the pages from the book through the perforations and share the colouring experience with friends or frame them for long term appreciation. When taking pages out, the journal writing would be on the back of the image.
