Bryan Hardin and his family survived the initial meteorite strike easily enough, considering the rock impacted on the other side of the planet. However, fragile supply chains were not only cut, but completely obliterated, and human nature came into play as supplies became scarce.
Along with the shortages, Bryan's community endured the lashing of overpowered, vicious hurricanes when Mother Nature tried to drown the whole Gulf Coast. Even now, hunkered down for a frozen winter that shattered all records for Southeast Texas, Bryan and his family, along with his friends and neighbors, are warned they still face more rocks from deep space, hurtling at the Earth like pellets from a cosmic shotgun.
