Publisher's Synopsis
The little known illness of Lyme Disease is highlighted in this collection of poetry by Carmen Alfonso, who became ill after being bitten by a tick while walking in Exmoor (UK) in 1996. A very personal account of what it is like to live with Lyme Disease, the book is very much written in the spirit of a personal testimony. The author also hopes that this book may go some way towards raising awareness of a debilitating and potentially disabling disease that is relatively unknown, but may be becoming more prevalent thanks in part to climate change.
