In its injurious effects in the treatment of disease we have sought to submit some of the special circumstances which should prevent its administration, and have brie?y given a few cases, to which many others might be added from the extensive records of Guy's Hospital; from these all may perceive, that severe disease, in which much confidence is reposed in the action of mercury, will recover more speedily under the use of more simple agents.
