Shenique, the main character, must go back into the Forest of Emotions, in order to reclaim her voice, emotions, and tears. She is forced to confront the Spriggans, who have stolen them and now guard them as their own treasure. Shenique is sought after by Casondra, the spider who oversees the Domain of Lies. Facing many dangers, she must make her way to the Cave of Truth, recapture her treasures, and take another step towards healing. Accompanying Shenique is her companion, Philomela, and her inner child, Iolana. Assisting her are the Gardeners of the Meadow of Hope.
