Stafford County is located on the Northern Neck of Virginia and was formed in 1666 from Westmoreland County. Overwharton Parish, according to the author, was co-extensive with Stafford County, and included the present counties of Alexandria, Fairfax, Fauquier, Loudoun, and Prince William. There are approximately 6,000 individuals listed in the register. Information, in addition to names and relationships, include births, marriages, and deaths, as well as a brief history of the county.
