Retired Sheriff's Office Major Grey Colson loves his condo on Daytona Beach, but he needs a vacation. Not a vacation from the sun, sand and surf, but from personal issues. His best friend is getting married to a beautiful and wealthy young woman, while the woman Colson loves is reluctant to leave her career in Atlanta to become the wife of a beach bum.
But what better way for Colson to relax than to take on an investigation on behalf of someone he would never have been willing to defend in his law enforcement career. A wealthy land developer accused of the murder and kidnapping of several elderly residents of Darien, Georgia. A relatively unknown spot on the map laden with marshlands, historical sights and, as Colson would discover, Satan worshipers.
As Colson begins his own investigation into the murdered and missing residents, he finds himself labeled an unwelcome trespasser by the Mayor of Darien and the target of whomever or whatever is responsible for the evil that has taken hold of the otherwise quiet community.
Grey Colson has always believed in God and the spiritual realm, but it was not until he involved himself in this backwoods investigation that he met evil face to face. The wealthy land developer had an obvious motive to seize the valuable properties of the missing and murdered residents,
