Publisher's Synopsis
Lester Slaughter loved rock and roll as a child. He took steps to become a musician as an adult and because he could play he narrowly missed doing a tour in Vietnam. After a stint in the US Army band, Lester moves to the heart of the psychedelic music scene, San Francisco, and started a new band called White Cross. It turns out they are the forefathers of Heavy Metal music. White Cross becomes incredibly popular but must weather the music trends after the coming of Disco, Commercial Glam Metal, and Grunge. But White Cross is reborn after concert promoters begin to organize large heavy metal music festivals all over the world in the 2000's.
