This book is based on a true story about a U.S. Army soldier medic. She was assigned as a medic to Bulldog Brigade at Camp Bulldog, Baghdad, Iraq. Maria befriended a U.S. Army military intelligence soldier who was on a team staking one of Saddam's houses where some of his family was living. One day Maria had an idea that wouldn't leave her head and she told what she was thinking to her M.I. friend. Maria also speaks candidly about her experience with MST (Military Sexual Trauma) and PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and shares how she was able to become grounded.
