While the characters themselves are fictitious, all names, dates and places are authentic to the time, having been researched in such sources as: The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire, by Edward Gibbon Published in 1960, The Twelve Caesars, by Suetonius, published in 1955 and other historical publications regarding the era in which the story takes place. RICHARD (RICK) TITONE is an International Manufacturing Consultant and Educator having extensive experience in the United States as well as Europe and Asia. He retired from the AT&T Bell Laboratories in 1993 and became the Principal and CEO of the Why How Consulting Company located in New Jersey. Now semi-retired he resides in Boynton Beach, Florida. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Management from Rutgers University and has served on the faculty of both Rutgers and Bloomfield College in New Jersey. Rick has had numerous articles and stories published in professional and Trade Publications, and has also presented papers at over a dozen International Conferences. The papers were then published in the proceedings of those conferences. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of a resort in Aruba, his local community Men's Club, and has served on both the New Jersey State and National Board of The American Production and Inventory Control Society. (APICS) He enjoys travel, reading, exercising and spectator sports.
