After Partition he remained in Bombay to supervise the repairs of ships that had been allocated to the new country. In Pakistan he relates how he planned, selected the site for, built, and finally commanded PNS Karsaz, the pride of Naval training establishments. Later, at Naval Headquarters he writes of two occasions when the plans for obtaining submarines for the Navy were thwarted.
