Odysella Duparo, a 23rd century farm girl finds her life thrust into chaos on a star lit night. Her home is on an asteroid called Nar that lies just southwest of Mars. The ruler of Nar, Lord Lauflo is about to be driven out of his palace and power by the military and an evil female named Leandro. During the coup, Odysella learns a stunning truth about her birthright that changes her forever. Also on this fateful night she meets War B, a handsome rapper from Chicago, whose group, Floss Angeles, is attempting a comeback through an intergalactic tour. Hip-Hop has been banned on Earth but all other habitable planets and asteroids have opened their arms to the artists to reap the financial benefits Earth relinquished. This combination of an aging medium and futuristic possibilities make Odysella a unique tale. Nar, which could possibly be the universe's most peaceful place to live, has reluctantly let time catch up with it. Its residents, who hardly know what the outside world is like, has to form an uneasy alliance with Earth people to survive the coup. Odysella brings the past of hip-hopand politics slamming into the future much like a deadly asteroid. The exception is Odysella and War B find a positive way to blend their odd and very different backgrounds.
