Having been involved with the youth ministries of evangelism and discipleship for some time, my wife Fran and I have faced the same observation from many new believers. Speaking of their recent decision of salvation by trusting Jesus, they say something like, "I don't think it worked; I'm still sinning." They have a lack of understanding of the change that has occurred in them and what they should do next. One thing I can tell you about idealistic teens and young adults (and probably older adults too), they don't want to be known as hypocrites. They know there needs to be a change, but because of their lack of understanding of God and His Word, they can't imagine what that change might be. Then they struggle.
