Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Oberlin Alumni Magazine, Vol. 29: January, 1933
Fortunately, and much to my surprise, the hours slip by at breathless speed. No day is ever a vacuum. I\lly initial statement that there is something intolerable about doing nothing may imply that I sit around the house all day long with a blank stare on my face and my hands folded in my lap. Such an implication was not intended. The expression doing nothing refers solely to my lack of regular employment and has no bearing on the pur suits oi my leisure time. For certainly I find plenty to do.
