Poems by Aragon, Eluard, Sandburg, Hart Crane, et al. Inscribed to the poet Michael Alexander, by Peter Whigham and his wife Jean - friends and supporters to Ezra Pound during his troubled years post-WW2: 'Michael, from Jean & Peter, with love Christmas 1964'. Alexander had first visited Pound in 1962 to ask if he would accept the dedication of his translations of 'The Earliest English Poems', published by Penguin Classics having originally been commissioned by Whigham.
