O Sing Unto the Lord, composed by Julian Anderson for an unaccompanied SATB mixed choir, was commissioned by the Musicians Benevolent Fund in the name of Sir Thomas Armstrong this work was first performed at Westminster Cathedral on 24 November 1999 by the Choirs of Westminster & St Paul's Cathedrals and Westminster Abbey, conducted by James O'Donnell.
