This reference includes 433 nursing interventions, describing the treatments nurses perform in all areas of practice. Label names, definitions, and lists of nursing activities for implementing the interventions. New indirect case interventions are included to cover additional nursing functions, and there is a new coded taxonomy which arranges nursing interventions into a conceptual framework and facilitates locating interventions. A section linking NIC interventions on NANDA diagnoses aims to promote clinical decision-making and nursing intervention selection. In addition, the text includes new and revised information on implementing NIC in practice, educational settings, and the NIC review process.
