Publisher's Synopsis
Nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometry is becoming an increasingly important technique to chemists both in industry and research. The aims of this package are to teach or reinforce the teachings of the elementary principles of spectrometry and the interpretation of relatively simple proton and carbon-13 spectra.;It is designed to be used interactively and includes animated diagrams, self-assessment exercises on the positions of characteristic resonances and spin-spin coupling patterns and displays of proton and carbon-13 spectra. The disc comprises 12 proton and 8 carbon-13 computer generated spectra, which illustrate many of the characteristic resonances observed in NMR spectra. By means of a supplementary disc it will be possible for the user to generate additional spectra of their own choice.
