Nobody can understand why Daisy and Tyler haven't gotten married yet- including Daisy. When yet another letter arrives from his mother asking him to come home and meet an eligible human bachelorette, Daisy starts questioning everything about their relationship. Would the real man of her dreams avoid telling off his mother for seven years?
Meanwhile, Daisy's childhood best friend, Johanna, is lamenting her perpetual singlehood. All the men she meets are too old, too gay, or jerks. Her work as a saddler keeps her busy, but she is jealous of the caring and comfortable relationship Daisy and Tyler seem to have. Johanna always imagined returning home to her village one day to raise a family and it's getting harder to believe she will ever meet a suitable partner.
When Daisy decides to distract herself by meddling in Johanna's love-life, no one gets what they wanted- or what they expected!
A trip home for the holidays forces Daisy and Johanna to face the choices they made, and the ones they had no control over. Can they find support from the people they love, or will they cling to their secrets?
