The phrasebook has been updated and re-designed in this new edition. Perfect as a take-along guide for visitors to the Far East, it features city maps, information on public transportation systems, general information for visitors to China, and bilingual lists (phonetic spellings with English translations) of more than 1,500 most-often-used words and expressions for travelers. The book's page edges are color-coded by topic for quick reference. An audio compact disc, which replaces the older cassette tapes in previous editions, give international travelers approximately 70 minutes of bilingual dialogue. They dramatize typical situations and conversations at airports, hotels, stores, taxicabs, and the like. The CD comes with an added bilingual script booklet.
