The sun exploded, yet Earth survived, but shattered into three crust fragments with the molten core as the new sun. Survivors of the cataclysm struggle live on the surface, only to be caught in the middle of a war between mutant monstrosities and machines that were left behind.
Yet, Morgan Corlance was a councillor of Settlement Aquarius. He helped raise a safe haven for people. Until he caught wind of a document that held secrets of a rumored utopia, Galilea. Hidden by Calypso Corporation, he wanted it bring it out into the light. But Calypso arrested him and accused him of espionage. And so the settlement banished Corlance over a lie.
Angry and betrayed, Corlance wandered the deserts until being abducted and winding up in Zodia, the city of outcasts and the heart of the criminal world. He had to learn the rules of the streets fast. But most of all, he wanted revenge.
So he used the rumor of Galilea to jump start a crusade to unite the gangs of Zodia that quickly spiraled out of control. Many flocked to his cause, but the gangs were threatened by him. Every attempt to knock him down, Corlance turned it on its head.
And throughout the story, Corlance contended with multiple gangs, deadly psychics, Calypso soldiers, assassins, until eventually defending Zodia from a ruthless cybernetic force that could incinerate anything with a mere touch.
