Publisher's Synopsis
When three friends decide it's time to live a better life, they choose a path that could lead to further destruction and bring more trouble than they anticipated. With the odds stacked against them, they dodge the police, sell drugs under the cover of darkness, they owe the drug dealer and end up homeless. How they choose to rectify the problems in their lives. Kidnap a wealthy girl. Ever since kidnapping gripped Trinidad and Tobago like a thief in the night, I've always wanted to express to the public what I thought what was the root cause to this problem. You see, when the home, schools, society and governments fail, the most vulnerable in society are the young people, they feel the full brunt of all the damage we selfish adults have created and as a result of that when young people bond together to fight for what they believe in, a friendship is forged so strong that nothing and no one could pull them apart. This is what my story is about, the young people's struggle to live in a modern world, where industrialization boom and money flow like water but only to the rich and the poor gets poorer. With hope shrinking daily and desperation mounting, gangs are formed and they take whatever they want by any means necessary. A reality story about the troubled times we live in, with a lot of twist and turns to keep you laughing in the midst of it all. Born in the quiet semi countryside of Princes Town in Trinidad and Tobago, I am the third of six children for my parents. I will celebrate my 36th birthday on 21st July 2007, and I am the proud husband of 14 years marriage to my lovely wife Shaffina, and not forgetting my ever-supportive daughter Amanda who rules the turf like the leader she was born to be. Making up stories was my childhood hobby, the scary ghost stories at night to scare my brother and sisters. By the time I turned fifteen writing grew into me and I was fascinated about the way ideas and conflicts keep swirling around in my head. There was no turning back, I never gave it up since, at present I have a number of completed screenplays and novels in the making. This is my first shot at marketing novels. It is of my opinion that my book will be met with a lot of criticism with people saying I'm trying to justify something that is illegal and the immoral way in which my characters carry about themselves. But it is my judgment that you reader will see the difference. You see, look around you, there is nothing like the perfect world, with crime, drugs, abortion, broken families and suicidal people, you name it's out there. I am not a doomsday preacher I must assure you, but someone who view things from a reality point of view and loves to bring it to the attention of everyone. People turning away from the fact because they are in a better position than everybody else makes them one of the millions of persons responsible for the state of the world today. My message to the world is, don't judge what you cannot understand but be open minded so you just might love something besides yourself, and open up a whole new world for you and your family.
