The police say that Rosa's sister, Natalia, took a cocktail of drink and drugs and fell overboard on a party boat. But that sounds nothing like the sister Rosa knows, scared away from drink by seeing their father's addiction to the bottle. Determined for answers, Alex continues to dig, but it soon becomes clear that some powerful people want to keep what happened to Natalia a mystery.
Never one to easily back down, Alex pushes on, discovering a shocking connection between the drowned girl and her own missing sister. But when Alex's home is broken into, and someone she loves is attacked, she begins to realise that the truth could come with a high price. Perhaps even her life.
