James is chosen because of his accomplishments, for the position of Head-boy, to represent the Grammar School. He regrets accepting; he prefers his own company and quietly studies to achieve high grades for his future in the outside world.
Jennifer Collins has outstanding attributes; which she uses on every occasion to acquire what she wants through whatever means. James finds himself in a dangerous predicament, with Jennifer requesting his assistance to pass her failed exams when she retakes them in two weeks' time.
James offers to help her study after school only to discover that she is after the answers to the questions.James refuses to participate and the next minute he finds himself in a whirlpool of pain, facing an attempted rape charge. James is expelled from the Grammar school and disowned by his parents. His world has come crashing around his feet, wandering the streets of London homeless.
James finally obtains employment and a dilapidated one bedroomed flat. He plans his revenge on Jennifer, which he carries out very successfully; not realising that he is being monitored by a Government Secret Agency that feels he may have potential.
