Publisher's Synopsis
I love Tamla Motown music and always listened to the rare soul tracks which became Northern Soul out of Wigan Casino and other Northern venues. I don't know why, but it always reminded me of Tomnahurich Cemetery (the hill of fairies; the ones with wings) in Inverness. I lived under its shadow for my first twenty years and have always been in awe (or even a little scared) of that glorious hill. Some say it is the most beautiful cemetery in the world. It is certainly mysterious and I am sure many ghosts wander its grounds every night. I think of all the souls buried there. What did they do in their lives? What are their stories? I just had to write something. If you have read my previous books you will know what to expect. Anything. Love, break-up, loss, depression, war, happiness, humour, dogs, and memories. It's all here.
