Publisher's Synopsis
Made-for-TV biopic casting an unusual slant on the life and career of Hollywood goddess Marilyn Monroe. The film uses dream-like sequences to portray Marilyn as she was before she changed her name and became a star, with Ashley Judd in the Norma Jean Baker role, and Mira Sorvino as Marilyn. In these sequences, the two characters appear together, and Norma Jean taunts Marilyn for not living up to her earlier aspirations. The film also chronicles the star's troubled childhood and adolescence, her films, her addiction problems, her famous marriages to playwright Arthur Miller (David Dukes) and baseball star Joe DiMaggio (Peter Dobson), and her rumoured affair with US President John F Kennedy (Steven Culp).
