Freyja is a young woman yearning to know passion. She has been told all her life what her future will be and knows that she must become one with Sven to fulfill the village prophecy. Years before, the Old One cast the runes to predict, "When Freyja and Sven mate and children are born then we will trade with many and our village will prosper." She is conflicted, knowing that she has an obligation do this and wanting desperately to find passion in her own love life. She has always thought Sven beautiful and is eager to consummate their relationship if it is in heartfelt love. She longs to know true love and dreams that it could indeed be with her predestined mate. Set in the medieval Viking era, Nordic Prophecy focuses on one village and its way of life. The hopes for a prosperous future lay in the fulfillment of a prophecy told nearly two decades before. Some in the community are now doubtful of the validity of the fortune telling and urge other choices. Sven shows little concern for their future so Freyja may need to take matters into her own hands. Should she wait for his advances and then the prophecy to passively unfold or should she act like the bold Viking goddess she is named for?
