Publisher's Synopsis

"Were you lying?" "Like there was no tomorrow." Three friends, Leah, Natalie and Sean are having drinks in a bar. Leah wants to know why men lie all the time in their relationships with women. Their discussion is played out through shifting scenes depicting Leah as an emotionally naive woman who has a predilection for sex after the man meets her "one date rule." Natalie is depicted as a woman 'with a past'; she's the realist with a cynical edge who has married James, a man who had strayed from his marriage and who has always had problems with Natalie's mother (an off-stage voice). Sean is as a man who is involved with a divorcee with two children, has unexpressed mixed feelings for Leah, and is depicted as generally trying to figure himself out in the area of sexual relationships. There are 19 characters in the play but only ten actors. Realistic scenes shift into surrealistic scenes, which then shift into a combination of realistic and surrealistic scenes, as the three main characters assume other characters and interact either directly or indirectly with each others' personalities and relationships, commenting upon each others' idiosyncrasies and inconsistencies. No Tomorrow is an "enthusiastic discussion" about lies and deception in romantic relationships extended into another world, a world of people struggling to gain some honesty in their lives, honesty between themselves and others and within themselves. The play comes at you with a genuine ferocity; hence, it is relatively short. It might be difficult to sustain such intensity for a longer period of time."
