With them is Pippa, a young French girl. For her, and for many of her eccentric companions, the troupe provides a sanctuary from the outside world, but a tragic event within days of her arrival forces Pippa to examine her life - will she find what she really needs in this old-fashioned town, instead of hitting the road again?
