Publisher's Synopsis
After the loss of their parents, a young Smokey Mountain brother and sister of exceptional talent, good looks, discipline, and intelligence are threatened by cunning, vindictive people, who rule by terror, murder, and threats to innocent friends and family members. The Law cannot protect them. The brother and sister have been taught from birth that they cannot rely on others to take care of them. There are no real choices, the reality is, there is only one real way to deal with such evil. Things move quickly for both of them as they plan for a future beyond their mountain home. Both brother and sister deal with adversity and life, thoughtfully, but without hesitation.
