Al mismo tiempo la autora insiste en la necesidad de comprender los contextos en los que ocurren los delitos y el perfil de sus actores para no replicar el daño; sus historias, terribles y estremecedoras, no solo son una denuncia social, también invitan a la empatìa y la compasión sincera, y si revela sin censura la opinión de los delincuentes es para no repetir sus actos ni replicar la violencia porque los niños y niñas de México y del mundo merecen un lugar mejor para vivir, no para sobrevivir.

Saskia Niño de Rivera takes an unflinching look at the underworld of child sexual abuse to unmask its perpetrators, explain why so many incidents go unreported, and expose a thriving trade in women and girls. With the help of mental health and trauma experts, she explores the psyches of pederasts, pedophiles and other offenders, as well as the psychological scars borne by their victims.
Lead Us Not into Temptation challenges social and official indifference to the tragedy of women who are raped, kidnapped and sold. The author, herself a survivor of child sexual abuse, offers first-hand testimony of the second part of this hell: the terror, anguish and pain that linger long after the initial violation and take the form of nightmares, paranoia, panic attacks and fear of leaving the house.
Beyond the personal, Niño de Rivera stresses the need to understand the context of such crimes and the backgrounds of their perpetrators.
