Peter Jansen was sent from Germany in the 1890 by his family to transplant one-hundred Black Oak saplings to save them from dying and disappearing forever. The trees were young and strong and he loved his stand of trees. Then someone burned the stand of trees to the ground and completely destroyed them. Peter knew who did it and that started a feud. Anger and hatred cultivated by the feud soon became the breeding ground for the Devil. And the Devil blackened the hearts and the souls of both men. Then Peter found hope again when he found a stand of Weeping Willow trees. Little did he know that this stand of trees, and one tree in particular, would bring pain, misery and death to anyone that came into its sphere. It is a story about the history of Peter's family, an apple farm and a willow tree. It is about feud between two men, but mostly it is a story about a weeping willow tree and the Devil.
