Publisher's Synopsis

Former Marine Dave "Gunny" Schmitt takes on a mission to rescue a young girl by the name of Kim who has been kidnapped by her father and taken to North Korea. With the help of a friend in the CIA, Gunny is able to infiltrate North Korea and locate Kim during the Lotus Lantern Festival. Gunny is captured during his and Kim's escape attempt to cross the border to South Korea. When former members of his team who served together in Vietnam learn of Gunny's capture they formulate a rescue plan, one that involves the Embassy Station Chief in Bangkok and the use of a World War Two German submarine.
