Some vegetables can be treated apparently without injury, and with others serious injury follows the application er the treatment. Good resul were not obtained with Italian squash and eggplant, though tomatoes, in 'ri ripe condition, seemed to be uninjured by this treatment. Melons and Bell peppers seem to be adapted to this method of treatment.
