Publisher's Synopsis
Among the production technologies of nonwoven textiles commonly in use in the textile industry the needle punching method is of considerable importance. At the present time needle punching technology is used not only for processing fibres from lower grade raw materials, but also for all standard textile fibres for the manufacture of economically interesting products for home furnishings and for industrial and technical purposes. In the case of other nonwovens, mechanical pre-strengthening of the fibre web method of needle punching is also becoming increasingly common. The dearth of information on needle punching in the nonwoven textile industry stimulated the authors to publish this work. No publication to date provides such data in one volume, providing the reader with a comprehensive review of the latest trends in practical and theoretical knowledge in this field.
