Publisher's Synopsis

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected every aspect of our lives, from our health and
well-being to our education and employment opportunities. The crisis has hit the most
vulnerable members of society the hardest, including street children who struggle to
survive despite the challenges they face such as lack of access to basic needs like food,
shelter, and healthcare. In this book, we explore the experiences of street children
during the pandemic and document their resilience, creativity, and survival strategies.
By shedding light on their circumstances and comparing their lives before and during
the pandemic, we hope to help social workers better understand their struggles and
find ways to support them.

Education has also been severely impacted by the pandemic, with students facing
financial challenges and struggling with distance learning. We discuss the importance
of financial education and the Department of Education's response to the crisis, as well
as a study on the effectiveness of distance learning for senior high school students. By
examining the experiences of students during the pandemic, we aim to provide insights
into the challenges they face and how they can overcome them.
