Publisher's Synopsis
Nauplion (Nafplion, Nauplia, Napoli di Romania) was in venetian hands during 1388-1540. Inevitably its culture was seriously influenced and, to some extent, determined by Venice with signs, some of which are still visible today. This study records for the first time the complete history of Venetian Nauplion during the Renaissance. It also presents the daily life, the architecture, the wall constructions, and clearly reveals the social and economic structures of the city. ------------------------------------------------ Contact me at: [email protected]
