Henry Bibb was an American abolitionist who was born into slavery. Bibb escaped from slavery and ended up moving to Canada where he founded The Voice of the Fugitive, an abolitionist newspaper. Bibb would later return to the Unite States and give lectures against slavery. In 1850 Bibb published his autobiography Narrative of the Life and Adventures of Henry Bibb, An American Slave. The book is considered to be one of the most famous slave narratives.
