Gerald Monk works with Cindy and her inability to grieve the loss of two close friends, a cousin, and an aunt - all whom have passed away in the last year. Cindy is shattered by these losses, but she remains stoic and has not been able to grieve. Monk helps Cindy dig deep and process her grief for the first time. Cindy, who is a nurse and has helped others her entire life - sometimes at the expense of helping take care of her own self - wishes to show more vulnerability and ask for support from others. Monk works with Cindy from a narrative therapy perspective.
