Publisher's Synopsis
Joelle runs a ski lodge near Vancouver on behalf of her step-sister Mimi's four-year-old daughter, Stevie, who had inherited it from her grandfather. Because Mimi is often away and Stevie's father is long gone, Joelle takes care of the little girl. Whilst Joelle is on holiday in Japan, having left Stevie with Aunt Beth, she receives a shocking message asking her to return home because Stevie has been injured. On the plane, Joelle is comforted by a man named Mike - but why does she feel so close to him?
