NLN developed End of Course Practice Tests for RN programs are nationally standardized tests designed to measure students' achievement in various content areas of the nursing curriculum. They enable faculty to evaluate specific course or program objectives and to compare the scores of students in their program with those of nursing students across the country.
PURPOSE:
Assesses understanding of nursing care measures, with an emphasis on normal and abnormal physiological and psychosocial changes occurring during pregnancy and in childhood. Topics addressed include normal growth and development, deviations from expected developmental norms, and implications for nursing assessment, intervention, and teaching during the childbearing and child-rearing years.
Incorporates relevant items on communication, nutrition, and pharmacology.
