NLN developed Practice Tests for RN programs, are nationally standardized tests designed to measure students' achievement in various content areas of the nursing curriculum. They enable faculty to evaluate specific course or program objectives and to compare the scores of students in their program with those of nursing students across the country.
PURPOSE:
Assesses understanding of pharmacological properties of medications, and ability to practice safely in medication administration. Specific topics include dosage calculation, principles of medication administration, pharmacological actions, and therapeutic and adverse effects of medications. Includes questions on the medications commonly prescribed in adult, children's, women's, and mental health practice areas.
