I am a 17 year old Autistic girl and wanted to share my experiences, how it affects me and how I coped with the transition to High School.

This book is not just for people with Autism, or young people, it is for anyone to read. It is to help raise awareness of Autism and how it may not be outwardly obvious to everyone, but how it may be affecting someone internally. This is my story of how I "handled" it. It's not the end of my journey, but the beginning. A journey about understanding me, my Autism and now it affects me day to day and how I can adapt the environment around me to meet my needs.
Everyone is unique, so someone reading this will not be the same as me. But hopefully some individuals may be able to relate to some of the things I have mentioned. I hope this book will help those individuals reach out and not be scared to seek help or support. We all need help and support at some times in our lives. It is not a weakness: I now actually see it as a strength to speak out and ask for help. Most people are keen and willing to help you.
