This book is a collection of first-hand accounts of service in the United States military dating back to World War I. Many of the entries were written by the actual service member, some were even written from the front lines, to include letters and diaries. Other entries were written by a member of the Children of the American Revolution after interviewing the veteran and include direct quotes describing the service. This book is intended to honor the service of all men and women who have worn the uniform of the United States and to ensure that their service is never forgotten. All proceeds from the sale of this book will be used to place copies in school libraries.
