Publisher's Synopsis
It has been said that "beauty is only skin deep" but there are a rare few people who defy this proverb. In 1977 Linda (Cummings) Russeau was a runner up in the Jackson Michigan Rose pageant and was chosen to be Miss (MIS) Michigan International Speedway. In this book My Secret Heart, Linda (author of Down By The River Poetry Of Many Moods) reveals her inner beauty in poetry. Written in the style of great poets like Robert Frost, My Secret Heart is a must for anyone who is a fan of the classics. Linda Russeau has worked for numerous non-profit organizations helping the poor with food, shelter and clothing. She regularly visited nursing homes to minister to the elderly and handicapped. She was never too busy to drop everything and pray with someone in need. Linda has touched many lives and brought many to faith in Jesus. She is well known for the ability to light up a room with her warm smile and friendly outgoing personality. In February of 2014 while on vacation Linda had a major stroke leaving her paralyzed on the right side and unable to speak or write. She had completed compiling the poems for this book just prior to leaving and had planned on publishing it upon her return. Her husband Michael Russeau took it upon himself to submit it for publishing in her place. One year following the stroke she is still residing in a skilled nursing facility but with the help of her husband she is making progress toward recovery.
